The University is expanding into Japan, setting up a DAMS centre, introducing AI into agricultural studies, and confirming free tuition for students with an ISEE of up to 30,000 euros

Enrolment at the University of Udine for the 2026–2027 academic year began on Thursday 9 July. The expanded range of courses includes 82 degree programmes, of which 16 are international programmes leading to a double or joint degree, including nine taught in English, as well as the University Preparatory School.
There are 42 three-year bachelor’s degree programmes, 37 master’s degree programmes and three single-cycle master’s degree programmes available. The changes relate to the academic offering, tuition fees, services and facilities. Specifically: the DAMS centre is being launched in Udine, alongside a double degree programme with Japan; agricultural sciences are being enhanced with artificial intelligence; fees remain unchanged, with free enrolment for those with an ISEE of up to 30,000 euros. Furthermore, the facilities available to students are being expanded by 2,000 square metres and the accommodation provided under the ‘right to education’ programme is increasing by 23 per cent. The number of laboratories supporting experimental and innovative teaching has risen to 186.
There are now three audiovisual production studios for teaching purposes, and a pilot scheme involving simultaneous and multilingual translation is also set to begin. In addition, other student services are now operational, such as chatbots, canteens at the four campuses in Udine, Gorizia, Pordenone and Gemona del Friuli; refreshment points at every campus, enhanced psychological support and a team of over 150 tutors, acting as ‘big brothers’ to the students.
