Universities and accessibility: Udine launches Italy’s first model for the participation of young people with cognitive disabilities in academic life

Defining a new model of inclusion that guarantees equal opportunities for access to post-secondary education for those who have so far been excluded from the Italian university system: people with cognitive disabilities. This is the mission of the Accademia delle Libere Abilità (ALA), a pilot project of the University of Udine. ALA’s educational offering will consist of theoretical lessons, inclusive workshops and educational visits.
