Urban green roofs to mitigate the effects of climate change and support biodiversity

To assess the potential of green roofs in urban environments to mitigate the effects of climate change, promote biodiversity and act as ecological corridors between urban and rural areas. This is the aim of the ‘Grace – Green Roofs for Alpine Ecological Connectivity’ project led by the University of Udine. The three-year research project is funded with approximately 737,000 euros under the European Interreg Italy–Austria programme.
