Innovative biotechnology: the University secures a €4.5 million European project for cutting-edge diagnostics and therapies

The University of Udine has secured European funding of 4.5 million euros for a research project (Int2Act) focused on the development of innovative biotechnologies for next-generation diagnostics and therapies. The four-year research project, involving 25 international partners, is led by the Department of Medicine and coordinated by Carlo Vascotto, Professor of Molecular Biology. It involves the use of nucleic acids, fundamental molecules that store, transmit and express genetic information and which have opened up new clinical prospects: from cancer immunotherapy to the diagnosis of infectious diseases and the treatment of rare diseases.
