Eighteen projects designed by 38 companies to support the green and digital transition of advanced manufacturing, carried out thanks to four calls for proposals from the University of Udine worth six million euros. The projects concern: seven in energy; five in artificial intelligence and data science; three in smart manufacturing, mechatronics and robotics; and three in innovative materials. The technology transfer initiative carried out by the University of Friuli is part of the activities of the Triveneto innovation ecosystem, iNEST, of which the University of Udine is a founding member. Some of the 18 projects, including 12 from companies in the Triveneto region and six from southern Italy, involve major industrial players such as Beantech, Danieli Officine Meccaniche, Danieli Automation, Electrolux Italia, Electrolux Professional and Faber.
