Alvise Andreose Appointed Member of the Accademia della Crusca

Alvise Andreose, Professor of Romance Philology and Linguistics at the University of Udine, has been appointed a “corresponding academic” of the Accademia della Crusca. Founded in Florence between 1582 and 1583, the Accademia is one of the most important institutions in Italy and worldwide for research on the Italian language. Andreose is also the coordinator of the inter-university Master’s degree program in Italian Studies offered by the Department of Humanities and Cultural Heritage at the University of Udine.
