Fatty liver disease linked to obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic problems is becoming increasingly common. This paper explores how Mediterranean-style meal plans may support people with MASLD. Three versions were developed: traditional, lower-carbohydrate, and lower-fat. All included key Mediterranean foods such as vegetables, fruit, legumes, whole grains, fish, nuts, and extra-virgin olive oil.
The results suggest that these meal plans have a healthier profile than a typical Western diet, with stronger antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential. The main message is that food quality matters more than calories: choosing minimally processed foods and healthy fats may help support liver and metabolic health.
