A collective coffee break was held this morning at the OGS café with operators from the Centro Antiviolenza GOAP of Trieste, in order to discuss gender-based violence collectively.
The event, organized under the framework agreement between Area Science Park, OGS, and Elettra Sincrotrone, stems from a desire to promote a culture of respect, gender equality,and the fight against all forms of violence and discrimination. Gender-based violence is, in fact, a widespread and pervasive phenomenon that cuts across society and requires a constant effort on the part of institutions to tackle it, especially through outreach, prevention, and public awareness campaigns.
The meeting will be followed by a second gathering over coffee, which will take place on May 27 at 10:30 a.m. at the Area Science Park café in Basovizza.
