Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste’s contribution to the study seminar on the Cividale del Friuli Crucifix: research serving heritage

Elettra Sincrotrone Trieste participated in the seminar dedicated to the rediscovery of the monumental medieval wooden crucifix preserved in Cividale del Friuli. During the event, Elettra presented a non-invasive multi-technique approach used combining X-ray microtomography and infrared spectroscopy to investigate the artefact and support its conservation and future restoration. The initiative highlighted the role of research infrastructures in cultural heritage studies and preservation.
