The winner of the 2025 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, Omar Yaghi, will discuss the development of new materials for sustainability and the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence in this field at an event to be held on Wednesday 27 May at 10.30 am at the ICTP.
Yaghi’s lecture will be followed by a panel discussion featuring Laura Gagliardi (University of Chicago), Hexiang Deng (Wuhan University), and Paolo Fornasiero (University of Trieste), moderated by Ralph Gebauer (ICTP).
The event is organised jointly by the ICTP and the University of Trieste and forms part of the celebrations organised this year by the ICTP to mark the centenary of the birth of its founder, Abdus Salam.
