Increased attractiveness of the region as an international scientific and technological hub, increased unity in collaboration between institutions and greater incisiveness of internal and external communication, are the topics of the working group chaired by the regional councillor for research and university education.

Area Science Park hosted the event attended by the Vice Central Director Ketty Segatti and the leaders of the 17 regional partners of the Scientific and Innovation System of Friuli Venezia Giulia (Sistema Scientifico e dell’Innovazione del Friuli Venezia Giulia — SiS FVG) comprising universities, national and international research institutes, science and technology parks and conservatoires.

During the meeting, the activities carried out during the 2021-2022 two-year period were analysed with special focus on strategic actions, such as the European project consulting service, which aims to promote cooperation between SiS FVG's partners on common projects, support from the PatLib Centre regarding intellectual property and promotion and communication aimed at increasing the visibility of the System nationally and internationally.

The 2024-2026 operational plan is also on the agenda. In particular, the need to strengthen collaboration between SiS FVG and the liaison office of the FVG Region in Brussels in order to promote the system and the area and provide a concrete opportunity to disseminate information on European initiatives.
