POST TITLE: Group Leader
DUTY STATION: Trieste, Italy
DATE REQUIRED: 1st September 2022
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Fixed term appointment
DURATION: Initial period of one year, with further extensions of four years subject to satisfactory performance.
LEVEL: P1 (UN Salary Scale)
APPLICATION DEADLINE: 1 March 2022
DUTIES: Under the guidance and supervision of the Director-General and the Scientific Coordinator, the scientist will be responsible for funding and coordinating research activities in the Trieste component. ICGEB will provide a startup equipped laboratory, a staff research assistant, laboratory consumables funds, and access to ICGEB pre-doctoral and postdoctoral fellowships.
QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or related fields. Relevant professional experience at the international level.
