A new study has just been published in Nature Communications, led by Dr. Stefano Cacciatore, Group Leader, Bioinformatics Unit, ICGEB Cape Town, together with his collaborators in Florence. Titled “Deriving three one-dimensional NMR spectra from a single experiment through machine learning”, the work presents an application of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) spectroscopy in metabolomics. The team proposes a machine learning approach using serum samples as a case study, aiming to simplify analysis and improve efficiency.
