Last January, in Addis Ababa, Biotechnet II was presented, an ICGEB project funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), aimed at strengthening biotechnology capacity in the Horn of Africa and East Africa. As the second phase of an initiative launched in 2021, the project involves Ethiopia, Djibouti, Kenya and Uganda, and will support research funding, training activities, and the development of scientific infrastructure to enhance scientific capacity and regional collaboration.
